My google reader hasn't seen anything below 300 in more than a month. What's a techie girl (in love) supposed to do?

Maybe I'll hole up at home tonight and get back in touch with my world of blog friends. 

What is Twitter?

I can't count the number of times I've been asked this questions recently. It comes up in daily conversation and I have a hard time explaining in succinct terms. The best I've heard so far is "text blogging." But that really doesn't explain much, now does it?

Twitter is the thing to do. And if you don't know what it is, then you need to find out. Even my CEO does it.

Wikipedia says it "is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send "updates" (or "tweets"; text-based posts, up to 140 characters long) to the Twitter website, via short message service (e.g. on a cell phone), instant messaging, or a third-party application such as Twitterrific or Facebook."

My Top 20 Web Sites ... Drumroll, please ...

1. Google.com - this is my daily addiction for e-mail, my google reader gets me my blog fix and the search tool is irreplaceable. I heart google.
2. Cheaptickets.com - where I bought every ticket going to and from Indonesia. It's a better deal usually, but sometimes I still use Expedia.com.
3. Facebook.com - I ebb and flow on this site, but it's amazing for keeping up with tons of friends from all walks of life. I felt so much less out of the loop while gone thanks to this little phenomenon. (If you're not my friend yet, please add me ... see profile on the right side bar.)
4. X17online.com - you will never not know what's going on in Hollywood again ... my #1 guilty pleasure.
5. Half.com - the discount media and gaming side of Ebay.com is my #1 resource when it comes to buying books. Someone mentions a good book and many times you can grab it here for a few dollars. That's probably why my bookshelf is overflowing!
6. Typepad.com - home of Asia and Chocolate.
7. Biblegateway.com - When I need to find a verse from the Bible quickly and don't feel like pulling out the old concordance.
8. Friendster.com - keeping in touch with my Asian family and friends is easier with my Friendster profile same concept as myspace or facebook, etc.
9. Wikipedia.org - sometimes you just need a little 411.
10. Daveramsey.com - my new favorite person and the place I go for financial resources ... I could go on ...
11. MSN.com - my homepage for years now, and my source of top headlines. I'm just used to it and stay roughly on top of the latest breaking stories.
12. Perezhilton.com - another Hollywood gossip site, with a slight edge. Can be crass, but I'm addicted.
13. Boundless.org - a great webzine for single Christians brought to you by Focus on the Family. I  can sometimes find invaluable articles from encouragement to helpful tips.
14. Apple.com - no comment
15. BacktotheBible.org - has a great daily Bible reading program. I have slowly fallen off the daily reading wagon ... no excuses here.
16. Tennessean.com - my hometown newspaper
17. Sitemeter.com - my blog site meter tells me your location, where you come from, how long you spend on my site, your current address and all of your bank account information ... well, maybe not your address or account info, but definitely where you're coming from.
18. Thepeopleschurch.org - missed a Sunday? want to re-listen to a sermon? need to locate a meal group? my church Web site just got a face lift and it's definitely less saggy
19. Zanderins.com - Zander Insurance is endorsed by Dave Ramsey for almost all of your insurance needs. I found the cheapest auto insurance here to go with my new free car ... very exciting, especially when I'm getting out of debt! (I also buy their identity theft protection.)
20. Leah Robbins Photography - my roommate from college takes AMAZING pictures ... need a Kodak moment?

Up, up, and ... online??

Flying and blogging? That's what I'm doing ... yep. I'm sky high and online thanks to Korean Air and Boeing. Life has been happening so fast that there's been NO time for the blog. Pictures and more to come! On my way home ... 24 hours to go!
